Abstract: I will talk about some interfaces arising in parabolic equations. These interfaces include  propagating fronts and Stefan free boundaries in reaction diffusion equations, free boundaries appearing in porous media equations, and propagating hypersurfaces in mean/Gauss curvature flows. In particular, I will specify the influence of the special heterogeneity on the propagation feature of the interfaces.
